Aurangabad has some of the most fascinating places to visit in the Indian Tourism Space. Some of the notable ones which PACE recommends include :

  • Bibi Qa Maqbara (Who says there's only one Taj Mahal?)
The Bibi-Ka-Maqbara is a beautiful mausoleum of Rabia-ul-Daurani, the wife of the Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb. This mausoleum is believed to be constructed by Prince Azam Shah in memory of his mother between 1651 and 1661 A.D. A mini replica of the famous Taj Mahal, it continues to draw thousands of tourists to the city and these continue to draw a steady trickle of visitors.
  • Ajanta Caves – Included in the UNESCO World Heritage sites list, these 29 caves have on them Jataka Tales – stories of Buddha's enlightenment and wisdom in his previous birth which is worth a sight.
  • Ellora Caves – The so called sisters of Ajanta Caves, these caves are an amalgamation of philosophies of three oriental faiths including Buddhism, Jainism and Hindusism. Though a distance of 29 kms from Aurangabad, these are definitely not worth missing.
  • Ghrishneshwar temple – Abode to one of the five Jyotirlingas in Maharashtra, it is located just around a kilometer from Elora caves
  • Chatrapati Shivaji Museum – As the name goes, this museum is a tribute to the great Maratha warrior Shivaji. This place is a must visit for the ones who loved history in their school days as well the ones who are keen on Maratha history
